Quick answer

What does Citywide clean at training centers and schools?

Citywide Maintenance Services cleans professional training centers and business-related schools in Manhattan and across New York City, including beauty and cosmetology, technology, business management, paralegal and design schools. Work covers classrooms, computer labs, studios, restrooms, kitchens, hallways and reception, with floors, interior glass, trash and high-touch disinfection, scheduled between or after classes.

Every school has different cleaning needs

New York has a wide range of professional training centers and business-related schools: beauty and cosmetology schools, technology and computer training, business management programs, paralegal schools, and commercial and interior design schools. They share classrooms, restrooms and hallways, but what happens inside the classroom varies enormously, and so does the cleaning.

A program that works for a paralegal school will not work for a cosmetology school or an art studio. The right scope starts with how each room is used, who uses it and when, then sets tasks and frequencies to match, so the budget goes where the mess actually is.

Matching the scope to what you teach

  • Beauty and cosmetology schools

Practice floors with hair, product residue and shampoo areas. Clean surfaces support sanitation, so germs are less likely to reach razors, scissors and clippers.

  • Business, tech and paralegal schools

Office-like spaces: carpets vacuumed, interior windows cleaned, restrooms and kitchens maintained, keyboards and shared desks wiped.

  • Art and design schools

Paint, ink, pastels and charcoal leave a daily mess on tables, floors and sinks that needs to be cleared every day.

  • Shared areas

Reception, hallways, student lounges, restrooms and pantries see constant traffic between classes.

A clean school teaches a standard

Training centers prepare students for professional work. If classrooms and studios are messy, students absorb that as normal and take the habit into their first jobs, which reflects on the school that trained them. A clean, organized facility sets the standard you want graduates to carry.

It also matters to prospective students and their families on tours, and to employers, accreditors and partners who visit. Reception, hallways and the classroom on the tour route shape that first impression. The facility is part of how your program is judged, alongside instructors and outcomes.

  • Clean classrooms every morning
  • Studios cleared of daily mess
  • Restrooms stocked between sessions
  • Presentable for tours and visitors

Trusted crews and periodic work

Every Citywide cleaner is a Citywide employee; we do not subcontract any of our work. Employees are background-checked before hiring, trained in our procedures and arrive in uniform. Citywide is bonded and carries full liability and workers’ compensation insurance. Between terms, add deep carpet cleaning and floor stripping and waxing, or post-renovation cleaning after a classroom refit.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions facility and office managers ask us most.

Have a question that is not here? Call (917) 842-4644 or request a proposal.

Can you clean after evening classes?

Yes. Citywide crews are available around the clock, so cleaning can be scheduled after the last evening class, overnight or before morning sessions.

Do you clean art and design studios?

Yes. We plan studio cleaning around the materials used, such as paint, ink, pastels and charcoal, and agree on which work surfaces, sinks and floors are cleaned and what student work must be left alone.

Do you sanitize tools at cosmetology schools?

No. Instrument sanitation stays with your instructors and students. Citywide cleans the facility, including practice floors, stations, sinks and restrooms.

Can you do deeper cleaning between terms?

Yes. Periodic carpet cleaning, hard floor care and one-time cleanings can be scheduled during breaks, in addition to the regular program.
